This is probably a fuckin dumb question, havent touched ny bike since last weekend -But there is a rediculous amount of oil getting into mto my airbox which i think is getting into carbie and making shit smokey.
Is my breather blocked, my rings fucked or what.
I didnt overfill the oil as always fill to manual spec 1200ml when changing filter.Only done 1359km-time for a rebuild?????
Have you cleaned it yet :P, then you can find the breather hose take it off and check if blocked.

1: get a 2 stroke, this wouldnt happen
2: have you over oiled your filter?

if its like the KTMs the breather hose if the bike is dropped and ends up up side down allows the oil to free flow down the breather ends up int the box and boy do the smoke for ages. Guys i know have removed the hose and let it breath to the open air. Just lookin at the manual on line (full copy can be got from yami nz online) dose it have the air induction system (think this is more for the us greenie market) if not bung the hole and run the breather to where ever is outa the way. make sure has reasonable downwards length to keep water out.

oil breather hose hasn't come offf the frame. The Yamaha has oil in the frame right?
My KTM had similar problem, I thought it was over oiling the bike, I had found out that the oil breather hose had come off the frame.
I solved it that way.
Just an idea.
It doesn't harm the bike so I was told...

Mine pumps oil into there from the breather when i crash and the bike runs for a bit on its side.

yeah took everything apart today. only breather i can find runs off the top of the cylinder to airbox.cantsee why so much oil-did have it tipped a few times. cleaned the lot down to the carbie. maybe i created an airlock last time i filled the oil. try again check spark.ifnot rebuild time.

if thats all there is. The odds are when you tipped it oil went down the pipe once ridin works its way to A/box.
you can as i said set it up as the yzf where the breather runs down the frame and breaths out under the flywheel casin just plug up hole in A/box.
Unless you have to much crankcase pressure which will push oil out normally done from badly worn motor, worn rings etc but as its a 07 you would hope not least expect it either it a yami after all.

yeah might reroute it-how would i end up with too much crank cace pressure????

well as said normally worn rings and some of the piston compression gets past the rings back down to the motor but as it a 1 cylinder and its proberly runin ok this is unlikely. I would be thinking more along the lines of bike being upside down and oil going down breather once stood up it got no other place to go but the A/box.
Another option would be fit a T piece in line just before the A/box and run that down past the rear shock to breath out and allow any oil that gets in there to drip out.
