When I looked back at my tester’s notes about the CBR600RR, the first three words scrawled down were:
“Tiny”
“Ouch”
“Pain”
Of course, it has to be remembered that Honda – like the other major manufacturers – put together this generation of supersport 600s to perform on the track. This bike was designed for the Dani Pedrosas of this world; not a 5ft 10in rider with a larger (read: ‘portly’) frame, more used to riding sports-tourers and fairly upright, middleweight all-rounders.

[QUOTE=Bob;1129357775]When I looked back at my tester’s notes about the CBR600RR, the first three words scrawled down were:
“Tiny” = your dick is small
“Ouch” = you played with it
“Pain” = it fell off and broke!

Seriously, don't give up the day job for the comedy circuit just yet...:Pokey:
It is a cracking bike; but it really is suited to physically smaller riders - take a look at most bike racers, they're not exacly tall and rangy.

Did you try out the integrated braking? How did you find it?
Did you try out the ABS? How did it feel?

good review, although a bit more detail on the brakes would have been cool.

My experience with the brakes? The first time I had to brake, I squeezed on the lever with the same pressure I'd use on my GSX650F. And it was like hitting an invisible wall!
After that, at lower speeds I had a bit of a play, trying out two and even one-fingered braking - and I was still pulling up harder than on anything I've ever ridden before (I promised myself I'd not mention the brakes lifted from the R1 on the original Fazer - but the CBR's stoppers make them look tame; from me that is a real compliment).
Once used to the power on tap, I found I just had to brush the lever to scrub speed, they are that good. Thankfully I never had to use them in real anger. I wasn't about to try forcing the ABS to kick in on a bike I had for a morning's ride. But if you're interested, this piece from Kevin Ash on the subject is illuminating:

Have you done a test on a CBR1000RR?
Is the riding posture on the CBR1000RR better, or just as difficult?

I've not ridden the 1000RR, but out of curiosity I looked up the specifications:
Blade:
Length x Width x Height 2,080 x 685 x 1,130mm
600RR:
Length x Width x Height 2,010 x 685 x 1,105mm
Not much in it; (Blade is 70mm longer and very slightly taller in the saddle). How this translates into space in the saddle of course is open to question.
