its going to be very different indeed o_O stay tuned for a 5"5 65kg guy rocking around on a dr650,

probably wont be too noticably heavier than my XR250L :P. atleast i hope ;D?

looking forward to having something the missus can just jump on the back of a bit easier

DRZ400e's have really gotta be one of the few best bikes you can get tho :O

Good on ya Z. I think you'll love the DR650. The extra weight is offset by torque. Slightly different riding style required, but I haven't found the transition too difficult. :first:

DR vs your XR (we have both at home) is 147kg dry weight without any extras fitted vs 128kg (so its quite a bit heavier) and you can have a lower seat height if you do the lowering on the DR which helps offset the weight by carrying it a bit lower.

We've two upped on Mrs merv's DR over to the Wairarapa (prob 250km days) and its OK though not as comfy as the road bike of course, but two up on the XR is well nigh impossible over about 20km if you want your Mrs to be able to walk or do more important things afterwards.

The Mrs is about your height but lighter and she's managed to ride mine at the stock height, probably be more comfy if ya shaved the seat or took the stock lowering route tho... any goodies on it? :D

I've just been riding my DR with a stock seat and it feels tiny...

Was OK today in the hills but around town it's awful compared to my Corbin sofa.

If you got a missus, there's no need to be lonely.

Just get some earplugs and don't forget to nod and smile every couple of minutes.

Why bother smiling - not like she can see it!

Good on you Zerax. Your Mrs will appreciate the "sofa" in comparison to the KLX seat!

Far out are you really gonna remove the clutch? You're a radical guy. Is that to stop you losing 3rd gear?
