So I'm going to be lonely

Have sold my KLX400r cheap to a friend. least she wont be far from home !

now i just have to wait a couple weeks for DR650 to get down here!

its going to be very different indeed o_O stay tuned for a 5"5 65kg guy rocking around on a dr650,

probably wont be too noticably heavier than my XR250L :P. atleast i hope ;D?

looking forward to having something the missus can just jump on the back of a bit easier

DRZ400e's have really gotta be one of the few best bikes you can get tho :O
    she will be missed

Good on ya Z. I think you'll love the DR650. The extra weight is offset by torque. Slightly different riding style required, but I haven't found the transition too difficult.

DR vs your XR (we have both at home) is 147kg dry weight without any extras fitted vs 128kg (so its quite a bit heavier) and you can have a lower seat height if you do the lowering on the DR which helps offset the weight by carrying it a bit lower.

We've two upped on Mrs merv's DR over to the Wairarapa (prob 250km days) and its OK though not as comfy as the road bike of course, but two up on the XR is well nigh impossible over about 20km if you want your Mrs to be able to walk or do more important things afterwards.
    Cheers

The Mrs is about your height but lighter and she's managed to ride mine at the stock height, probably be more comfy if ya shaved the seat or took the stock lowering route tho... any goodies on it?

Was OK today in the hills but around town it's awful compared to my Corbin sofa.

If you got a missus, there's no need to be lonely.

Just get some earplugs and don't forget to nod and smile every couple of minutes.

Why bother smiling - not like she can see it!

Good on you Zerax. Your Mrs will appreciate the "sofa" in comparison to the KLX seat!

    Cheers R

    Hey Padwan,

still here for now but will be living in Upper Hutt from mid Oct, back here for the weekends. Hopefully get a bit of riding in during the week with some of the Wellies & Rapa crew. Bing on the long days!
