Have you watched MTV lately? The window lickers are the highbrow part.

When it first started it was mint. It just played contemporary music.

It's evolved into a largely un-watchable cross between Big Brother and Jackass with a hip-hop beat, doesn't play a whole lot of music in prime time and has talking heads with IQ appeal of a Cabbage. Ergo the list.

Did anyone else notice the discrepancy between the headline "Robbie Williams musics greatest superstar" then the list at the bottom "MTVs top 10 list". Those 3 letters explain a lot. MTV is only a one facet of popular music (pop as opposed to classical etc.) and I'm sure that even then the list would be highly debated by many.
