Choke Jr, not clutch.

Choke on the vtr is tucked under the tank where it is nice and dry, and invisible while sitting on the bike.

Oh. The other C-thing.

"If moon was cookie..."

Yeah, my choke's tucked under the tank, too.

Bah. See how busy I am? Misreading 'clutch' for 'choke', indeed. And so senility sets in. I think my brain is evaporating out through the bald patches.

And how's your clutch action now?

By the way, Mr Quasi-evil: my bike don't got no choke cable.
Nor a clutch cable.
But (BUT!!) it does have a coupla throttle cables, and a seat-latch cable.

Know how ya feel Quasi mate. Just after I bought my bike I went for a cruise on the freeway doin about 80mph when the throttle got really loose and I lost all rev's. Turned out my throttle pull cable (there are two for those that dont know, one pulles the other pushes) had snapped. Turns out that all the years my dad owned the bike he never lubricated the cables. Tried passing it off as time wear but I knew better, made him pay for the replacment cable.

Dodgy tip for cable lubing
Gosh it sounds rude before I even suggest cutting the end bit off a condom eh?
Then you slip it over the cable end and roll it out a little
Secure with a rubber band [ it gets worse]
And fill with lube
leave a few hours for the lube to slide fully down the length
Oh dear, all those letters to Penthouse and I cant write normally now, without it sounding like a bad porn story

For those of more puritanical persuasion, the little pointy end bit off a child's balloon (I can hardly the n***le word in this context can I ?) works just as well

(In some cases explaining to SWMBO why one has acquired a packet of condoms could be quite challenging )

Ixion

Ribbed or smooth?

I guess it would need to be the lubricated sort

One could always take the cable into the pharmacist's shop and ask to try them for size
