Have recently been reading up on old scooters, (some not so old too) and finding all sorts from history. There's been some fantastic scoots (and bikes) made in the past especially just after WW2.

So if you have any pics on something you like, or maybe its the one you already ride, from Vespa's to Heinkel's lets see em. There's plenty of new bikes that are cool too.

Have mentioned this before but here's one Ive done up and the missus rides it to work everyday. Little Jawa 50, just 65kgs from 1966. Goes fast enough and seems she's got fans all over town. Shite uphill though but it aint very busy here, so no worries gutter sniping uphill.

Often referred to as 'oddscoots' in forums overseas. I had a heinkel tourist - since sold to a German in Auckland. Strange to ride after riding vespas.

Nice one Jess, didnt think all that many oddscoots wouldve made their way here, bet there's a few tucked away. Do they tend to come out for Blue Smoke and Pedals meets and the like?

Just checked you profile Sidewinder, you are right.

New Zealand Classic Scooter Club 10th rally is this Labour Weekend, just out of Waipukurau - should be a few there. But yes Blue Smoke and Pedals has some interesting smaller scooters and mopeds, I haven't been to one for a long time though.
