I haven't been for ages, too broken... :doctor:

Too hard to get the girls there after school at the moment, but roll on daylight saving and we'll back most Wednesdays..............

So how broken are you then Phil? When are you going to be able to ride? That was sure a doozy, it's kept you off the bike for a while! The girls will be comandeering your bike soon and you'll be bikeless!!!

Haha... Still got a few weeks to go, aiming for the weekend after the last two man, but I might be a little optimistic.

It's Grace who's worried about loosing her bike, Sophie's after the 85, she loves it and goes really well on it. Poor Grace has her 125 sitting in the garage waiting for her to grow a little more..and I still need to get it set up for her with softer springs/re-valve etc (call you soon Danger) I'm safe, no-one wants a KDX...

As a side note...... Sophie's spent about an hour on the 85 at the Sandpit and reports that she now uses the clutch a lot on the 4t, didn't realise how much more control she could have over the bike by combining clutch/throttle and now prefers the 2t.

My babies are growing up.....:(

I've been out the last two wed's and its nice and quiet. Track has been in prime shape so if you guys can, come on out!

Went and watched a couple of practise afternoons last year and it seemed pretty chaotic for the first couple of sessions (all in) until enough bikes turned up and was then split into A and B class. My boys are keen to ride (and quite a few others on 65's) but I'm not sure I like the idea of 450 mxer's flying over there heads:eek5:
So for you regulars out there, are the 65's (of varying ability!..) welcome or is the speed differential too much and just too risky?

Not to bad usually! Best when its split into two groups as you say! The bigger bikes are pretty good at looking out for the 85s! I find its usually the young guns in the 125 or 250s that are a bit reckless.
Biggest problem I found with the little ones is the late change of line as they go for the jumps or going up them at an angle, specially if they aren't getting any air. So teach yours to pick a straight line and stick to it and they will be fine. If they have a fall usually other riders will stop and you won't even have to go out and help them. Compared to a Kart track MX is very uncontrolled but the good will of most riders goes a long way to make up for it.
If they like MX they will love Ardmore! But as all fathers do, you will shit yourself every time they go out!! LOL!!!

Haha i found it the other way round, going over the table top, the kids on 85's flying passed me at shoulder hight.
You can ride with them, I use to ride with Jean, well for the first lap anyway, then he was off, leave me behind, even give me a good run, when he had to ride the DRZ125.
Oh to be young.

When my girls were starting out, I'd wait for the 'free for all' to finish and go out behind them in the 'B' group. The last hour is usually the best time for tootling round as the track usually clears down to just a handful of riders. My kids (who you saw on Saturday) love Ardmore and can't wait for daylight saving. We'll see you there..........

We had our turn at being young and now it's our kids turn, we gotta make sure they don't stuff it up... We provide the opportunity and guidance, up to them to make the most of it. :niceone:

It's probably a good time to go right now due to low numbers. Sure it is all in but recently it's been really quiet and speeds haven't been a problem. I'm with old guy on this, I ride a CR250 and a lot of these kids on 85's FLY past me haha.

looking forwar d to daylight saveings the above iis right the guys going fast on the big bikes are'n the problem mostly as they are in control its teh people tryign toi get the hang of things like me that may do odd stuff and fall off half way round that are the danger in saying taht whenever i'm fiding I alays give the little ones plenty of room and a hand if they are stuck etc. Lots of those on 85s are pretty fast though

All good bro, part of being a rider is helping other riders when they're down. You'd do the same for me or my bro. Hope to see you back out there soon man
