Just saw this vid on Youtube. What the hell happened, looks like there are people lying on the ground everywhere and others are just riding past as if nothing is out of the ordinary...
This wasn't a KB ride was it?

By the way they are falling and sliding around I'd say there is a big patch of diesel or KY Jelly on the road.

You'd be stupid not to keep riding. Whenever there is an accident the first thing you should do before you stop and help is make sure that you aren't in danger yourself.

Not often I'm in complete agreement with ya DB, but thats my take on this vid too.
I hate seeing people hurt and the fact that it didn't happen here doesn't make it any less painful to watch.

Your kidding right? They're doing like 15kmh judging by that vid!Yeah, but the dozy bastards coming behind them weren't.
The number one rule in a group quickstop, is once you have managed what is in front of you, is to start managing what is behind you. Do it fast, son, or else brace for impact.
Either that, or feel that tingling coming up your neck, and get the fuck outa there pronto - you know the feeling.. get down the side of some cager, or somewhere you can't be sandwiched. Best bet, is split off something much larger than you, quick.
Never sit on the end of a queue.

It reminded me of a nature doco I saw once where all these crabs (in Cuba I thinkg) migrate across miles to get to the sea. They have to cross a busy road and they get run over, squashed, eaten etc etc etc, but all the other crabs just keep scuttling over the bodies of the maimed, dead and those being eaten.

And the bikes coming from behind which are doing all the damage, cartwheeling through the air? Take one of those to the face and think you'll be going home in a body bag.
I'm sure you'd like to sit in the way while all that was happening around you.

I saw my brother take a quad to the face, I wasn't to worried, the bastard thing was rebounding after landing on me so I was a little a preoccupied with pain, Besides which, My brother was the cause of it all.

Me, personally, i sometimes make a habit of watching other peoples fuckups 90% of the ones on youtube involve someone doing something they probably shouldn't.
Keeps me grounded and playing the what if game when i'm riding. Reminds me of just how mortal I am. (not that I forget, but it's too easy to fall into the mindset of being ten foot tall and buit like a brick shithouse)
One that really struck home was of a dude riding a hornet at open road-plus speed limits, runs it wide on a corner and into a truck.
