I have been asked by a prospective advertiser to put up a poll. So if you can give me a list of bikes you think fit in this range, I will add it to the poll and then open it for votes once there are enough bikes added.

New bikes only.

Poll open. Just pick the closest to what you like best.

Definitely all the supersport bikes and superbikes.

My favourites definitely R6, GSXR atm.

Speed triple, 675 daytona.

Maybe that's just my wish list?

Always seems like a shit-load of interest in those.

I myself buy the magazines doing the reviews on the new years models of these.

Daytona 675
Ducati HyperRetard
KTM 990 Adventure

are the ones pushing my buttons right now

the triumphs seam to be the 'trendy' bikes at the moment,
but list is rather large really, since there is sub groups,
600cc
1000cc

Big Dave might have an idea of what the #1 selling bike in NZ is

I think all the Japanese sport bikes should be just be one option.

No "used bikes" right?

They aren't trendy - they are very good.

I thinks all the Japanese sport bikes should be just one option.

Sounds sensible. Perhaps list both 600cc and 1000cc or specifically mention it's for both.

Probably together for the people who can't make up their minds!

It's quite hard you'll need another one for jap sport-tourers/nakeds etc

I have already bought a bike in that category, and it was my first choice.

If you gave me another $20-$30k, I'd get a new Triumph Thunderbird.

It's gonna be a big poll cause, just using triumph for example you could say 675 daytona for sports, nakeds for the street and speed triples, cruiser to cover the new thunderbird !
And realistically that will have to go accross the board for all the makes to give everone an option !

MT, this poll is going to be massive mate!
Most desirable bike in a 15-30k price range!
Each manufacturer has a range of top models covering several styles/types and for every bike there is a passionate owner beliving its the most desirable.
Picking Suzuki for example why limit the choice to just the GSXR range?

eh? - I think you need to start another poll for cruisers - with up to $30k to spend looking at the amount of Harleys in NZ there would be a lot of votes that way.
And like your 'put all Jap sports bikes together' you could so the same with the big block HD's.

I voted a Triumph triple - but it would be a naked one.

Then again with 15 -30 to spend I'd keep probably keep what I have and get a used (later model) bonnie and start a bobber project. I'd have heaps of $ left over.

Then again a S4R would be nice ..........

If "most desired" means that a bike is really that popular, then obtaining one second hand would be rather difficult.
I know a few that fit that category.

The Prila gets my vote, certainly best bang for buck i reckons... but i is biased. I wonders how many on here voted for what they ride!!!

The best test for any of the bikes in the list would be to see if they have a NZ distributor prepared to honour the factory warranty.
