I want to put scuffproof on the new wee to protect the paint. (I had it on the SV, and it worked a treat - butt ugly though)

I found this thread http://www.kiwibiker.co.nz/forums/showthread.php?t=2810&highlight=scuffproof and several other search references.

So I took a trip to motomail and cycletreads and both had scuffproof for about $30 for a 1 meter roll. http://www.motoretail.co.nz/eStore/Style/SRSCUFFPROOF1.aspx which I though was a bit steep.

So - any recommendations please.

I think that the standard Scuffproof is too thick. My 'bird 3M product was applied by an automotive film application and pinstriping company. The film is a lot thinner and almost invisible. They put it on my tank cutouts, back of tank, front of fairing and top of front guard for about $200. Flawless job. There's quite an art to doing it decently. Had it on several years and it still looks great.

My 'bird 3M product

Googled that and that looks better than the scufffproof brand. I might still use the thick scuffproof stuff where the soft panniers would touch the bodywork.
