Well i've just watched the best game of rugby i've seen this season

It was a tough game by both sides and both teams had moments of control of the game but it sea sawed throughout the game

The crowd was great with great atmosphere Its games like this that is what our game is missing. Watching this game it brought back memories of watching games in the late 80's

Who watched and what did you think?

Was pretty Speical to witness something that hasn't happened in almost three generations. I'm sure this will stick it to the NZRFU that the smaller teams are the life blood of the sport

Southland for Air NZ cup Champs

I think it was a great game. "Absorbing". "One for the purists". "It was a game of two halves". "Rugby was the winner on the night". "Full credit to the lads". "Obviously".

course they did, canterbury's only missing just about the entire forward pack, halfback and first five

someone's gotta go and sort out the northern hemisphere....

the excuses start

southland played well enough to beat the side that was put in front of them, hence they hold the shield

what are you on about?

Good shit Southland.

The only result that could have been better than this was if Tasman won next week against Canterbury, then got disbanded after being demoted to Heartland. Shield dissapears:lol:

To be honest I dont think you should try and take anything away from Southland. They have had a stellar season really, not long ago them and Northland constantly played off against the HB guys in relegation games. Just goes to show that this expanded league of NZ cup benefits all....

except maybe the big guys
