I would like to ask you what you hope to address my having an alarm?

What kind of criminal activity do you think it will actually stop?

Paging alarms vibrate the remote control when the alarm sounds off.

If you are out in a bar or a cinema - pretty damn good really.

How about a Xena Disk lock alarm ? Looking at one myself + 110 db alarm gots to be good.

Failing that tie a pit bull to your bike !

Chances are you'll do more damage to your bike that one time you forget to remove the disc lock than the probability of the bike being stolen provided you take sensible precautions with it.

Nothing will stop a thief if they're determinded enough unfortunately.

110lb of one these in a pissed of state would be a good deterrent, bred to fight bulls and defence for the victim is futile.....Presa Canario ;)

How about a solar powered electric fence unit attached to the body frame (assuming you only leave the bike out during the day)?

Just make you you put your bike gloves on before turning the unit off ...

That would help deter people touching the bike!

I bought one of these and the only one who it ever caused alarm to was me!

They just go off on their own, at any old time they feel like it!

Over sensitive to anything, except bike burglars!

Don't waste your money, get something else,...............in fact get anything else!

If that is the case, I would question weather the investment in the alarm would be worth it.

Is the EMA pictured?

So to use that alarm we need to install a cigarette lighter on our bikes in a hidden place or is that just for charging? What's stopping a would be thief seeing the obvious alarm and throwing it away?

Have anything inconspicuous, solid mounted (to the frame), hard wired (with battery so still would work with battery wires cut) and GPS capable?
