I would like to ask you what you hope to address my having an alarm?

What kind of criminal activity do you think it will actually stop?

Paging alarms vibrate the remote control when the alarm sounds off.

If you are out in a bar or a cinema - pretty damn good really.

Chances are you'll do more damage to your bike that one time you forget to remove the disc lock than the probability of the bike being stolen provided you take sensible precautions with it.

Nothing will stop a thief if they're determinded enough unfortunately.

110lb of one these in a pissed of state would be a good deterrent, bred to fight bulls and defence for the victim is futile.....Presa Canario

How about a solar powered electric fence unit attached to the body frame (assuming you only leave the bike out during the day)?

Just make you you put your bike gloves on before turning the unit off ...

That would help deter people touching the bike!

I bought one of these and the only one who it ever caused alarm to was me!

They just go off on their own, at any old time they feel like it!

Over sensitive to anything, except bike burglars!

Don't waste your money, get something else,...............in fact get anything else!

It just screams "look at me" for a few seconds to make the honest burgs whistle and wander off. It won't stop those who are GOING to take it regardless.

If that is the case, I would question weather the investment in the alarm would be worth it.
