For when i locate one...

I'm minus a manual so whats the process for putting the little bugger back on? Anything special to be aware of given its a CDI convert?

Oh, and if anyone has a spare flywheel for an RX125 i'd love to know

The flywheel itself is fine, and it's not from an RX125. The thing you need to sort out is that mounting plate, and then securely mounting the flywheel onto the plate.

the AG100 flywheel has arrived, looks to be a perfect fit

So its flywheel, washer, then nut? What torque should i do the nut up to? Loctite yes/no?

Flywheel back on, motor in bike yadayada... What is normally under the cover on the right side of the motor, at the front?

Awsome, buggered if I know what is ment to be under that cover. I cant ever recal there being a cover ther for anything to be under.

Does this mean we are going to see it back at Mt Wellington any time soon.

Maybe, we're on a roll with the bikes in the garage
Bit of welding to the headers and some gearbox oil and we'll see...

That's where the oil pump would have once lived.

Yep, muzzab is right. Just put that cover back on- the oil pump has been removed.

Was the conversion to CDI a costly exercise? Once you get it all sorted I'd be interested to hear how it goes. My RX seems to go fine on points but would like to convert it as well at some stage.

What size sprokets are you running?

Cheers

RD350LC's are 57ft/lbs, They use the same flywheel puller so I assume the same tourqe setting

Flywheel , then a 2mm ish thick flat washer then a spring washer then the nut ( on RDs)

will have a look at my RX engine when i get home and confirm

The only reason the bike was converted was that the points were absolutly rooted, and it seemed like a good idea. Turned out it wasnt the cheapest exsercise in the world, parts were about $100 but I needed the assistance of a mechanic mate who charged about another $200 or $250 on top (I wasnt expecting that but he was durring business hours)

Will have the flywheel of the RX soon aswell. got no spark, but think its points dirty, theres dirt and crap in it, the guy was using it at his farm till it stopped
I have some drop bars and a LC chamber on it now, need to sort the rear sets and finish the seat( has tho old tail piece off my A100)
Been to busy on my post classic bike and house renovations , Oh and that bloody work thing that gets in way too lol
