im new to not only kiwibiker but nz also,
picked myself up a gs1200 a few weeks after landing in november.
hope to see some of you out and about!

London - you might of heard of it...

I heard there is good riding in the south, had a friend come home raving of the west coast a few years back.

Yeah, there are - but so are there around the East Coast down to Southern Hawkes Bay. Infact, most of NZ has great roads. Get your self a bike map, seen them around somewhere, and go cruising........... Best time to do the south island is probably about now through to late March, but most of the North Island is good most of the time

Welcome jjjim,I too came from the U.K....43yrs ago,and I can speak fluent Kiwi now,you wouldnt even know I was a foreigner...LOL.

You will soon get to know all of the characters here on KB.Keeps me amused.:)
Keep an eye out for Fat Max ,hes another Pom..and a noted song writer..

Great riding here and 90% of the roads are empty (ish).

Yip........... that is sensible information to give someone who is new to NZ!

Esp from someone who calls themselves a driving instructor :rofl: thought they were supposed to be helpful not help someone to get lost..............
