Well I finally got around to sitting my restricted license test last Tuesday. Unfortunately the guy I had didn't have anyone else to do that morning so I had a 40 minute long restricted test. That involved 3 major roundabouts. Not that I've had no experience with them considering I go through the one at panmure 6x a week. Even more fun was that the roads were really really greesy (since it rained after there having not been any rain for ages).
However it was all good, the testing officer said that if I'd been taking my full I would have passed that. Then he proceeded to stuff up writing the temporary license twice. First time he gave me 1F + 5 + 6R (I've only got 1L and 6R). No idea how he managed that. Then the next time he managed to cross through all of the boxes so I had nothing!
Anyway it's much easier travelling around Auckland now, as I no longer get people tail gating me when I'm doing the speed limit. Or trying to pass me at 70km/h accross double yellow lines. Indeed I saw some weird stuff when I had the L-plate on the back.
So now I've got to wait another 6 months before I go down to Hamilton or Wellington to take CBTA since passrite won't take you unless you've allready got 1F and have held it for 2 years.
