Installed the vB4.0.1 bug fix release. This is just the first of two releases scheduled this month.

Still got a few more things to sort with the styles tonight before it's finished.

+1, same for me. It just takes me to the page, not the actual post. It's the same for the "what's New" section too.

++1. Except I go to "New Posts", and then click on the button to go to the first new post in the thread, and I would 60% of the time it doesn't take you to the first new post.

I don't use the subscribed threads, but obviously a related issue.

EDIT: I think it is only threads that have been created SINCE the 4.01 upgrade that are affected. I think threads created before the upgrade might be ok.

hey umm sorry to be repeating but.. weres me freking PAC MAN... just kidding hey how come when ya click on a email with a link for a subscription, it dosnt take you to the post but the top of the page now? any remady for that?
And when posting the letering is to bloody small for my farked old eyes (yeah mum said this would happen if I didnt stop) I mentioned it in the other thread and it was sorted, but its small again?

I was wondering why, and I have come to the conclusion that it must be the new layout that does not have the same pull. I can not fault it, but there is no attraction to me. A little like when you meet this nice girl, she has all that you are looking for, but there just aint any spark.

But all well, getting stuff done instead of spending hours on here reading.

I was wondering if it's at all possible to change the shading for the sticky threads in each forum? I am really liking this Dark Zone but it does make for difficulty when selecting text (swiping over to alter etc.) and seeing "highlighted" sections.

Btw, for a non-computer person, I haven't found it too hard to find my way around. Generally I'm a "keep things how they are 'cos that's what I know" kinda person, but this new setup is pretty much the cat's pyjamas now! :2thumbsup

exactly the same thing here mate - not even 15 minutes ago I was discussing that with the missus, and I too reckon it's the layout but really compounded with the bugs. Now it took me a while to fully appreciate all the features of the old KB, and I like the new look only slightly less, but now I'm starting from scratch again with the added frustration of not finding familiar tools and getting caught by bugs - and to be honest I'm not feeling inclined to try for some reason...

probably doesn't help that twice now I've found all the buttons on the page go unresponsive while trying to edit a post....

bollocks; if it ain't too badly broke and you've fixed most the issues why replace it with something untested? While there are of course merits in upgrading, if I've learnt anything with software it's that new releases should be let to "settle" for a few months before adoption; It's common sense really, and I hate to see KB take a dive in traffic right at it's peak.

By that I mean, there are some threads where I cant view the whole of page 1 and yet page 2 of that thread is viewable.

I have had look at other threads by the same thread starter in PD and generally I cant see the first two pages.

So could it have something to do with the ignore function perhaps?

Any chance the time can be fixed? I have the right time zone in OPTIONS (GMT+12) and the DST adjustment set to automatic but the forum is an hour behind all the time.

Also, the MARK FORUM AS READ pulldown when browsing a particular forum category doesn't work well (the pulldown hangs open) and it needs a refresh to display the thread list correctly too.

My only comment is, as Maddox says, yellow text on a black background is the ideal for electronic reading. http://maddox.xmission.com/ I liked the previous yellow used on KB, and the white text. I find the current soft blue/purple hard to read. At least the font is larger than it was initially, for which I thank you.

I use the "Home" key. Always takes me to the top of the page instantly. "End" takes you to the bottom.

You need to confirm changes at the bottom of that page where you select the Zone. I've just moved to the Green Zone and find it has white writing on black so I'm stoked.

Any results you do get don't even have the dates on them.
