Looking at getting rid of the cage for another bike. 2 options.. 1997 zx7r.. or a 1994 ducati 916..

Both have aftermarket exhausts.

The duc wants around 8k

The kwaka wants around 6k.

I want to know what these would sell for as a quick sell price eg might ride whichever for 3 months and then on sell for a quick price..

Im just trying to get a feel for if either bike is still wanted these days, and how much they would sell for quickly (ie 1-2 weeks).

Cheers Guys

Personally the Kwacker for me, plus after riding the Duc for 3 months it would be up for cambelts and service again.... Wouldn't it? ;-p

The 916 would be about right to move quickly but the ZX7R would be better around 4k unless it was really mint

The 916 is regarded as a classic and likely to hold it's value in the long term = a few years. But for a quick sale.........I dunno, maybe the Kwaka.......

I would take the 2002 Orange ZX7R over the 1997 one! Newer and cheaper.

Echo what Winston said... what's the mileage on the bikes? the duc should be every 20k's for belts and 10ks check ups.

The 916 is a classic and will appreciate in value as well as being a much more exciting/passion inspiring bike to ride. There will always be a market for good 916s and it will hold it's value, but they are fragile and high maintenance. The Kwakka is a fast, well made and reliable bike, but a bit soulless and will never be sought after.

I'd take the ducati but that's because I'm biased.

Dunno about the Duc, but just look the Kwaka seller in the face and laugh. That's daylight robbery.

I bought my mint condition low-km '05 636 for just a hair over eight. And yet that chap wants 6k for one that is nigh on a decade older?
