Drilled airbox cover - KTM?

Did it on my KTM 525 motard, got me 1 hp on the dyno, cheap hp

If in dusty conditions dont do it tho

I dunno Flangman, I reckon get the 2nd hand one off tarde me, that way you have an option of the 2, but if you drill your one and the day is dusty, you'll be royally screwd. plus, do you reckon you could make it look as good as the pic? maybe you can, not me though.

I could always buy a replacement cover anyway. I've seen it done before. They actually look better with a series of 3/4" holes. I'm keen to give it a crack.

I've had a good snoop around but can't find anything. May have a nosy at Mitre10.

Duct tapes a good idea. I know the motard guys generally use mesh but to be safe I think foam is my best option for offroad use.

Foam would impact on the effectiveness of the mod, just use mesh. Your filter will do the rest. Unless you're only doin it for looks?

What time you guys heading out and where ya planning on going? If works a bit slow and your talking late morning not early moring I might head in from Pram and go Orange hunting

If it has a CV carb, be prepared to re-jet heavily, or undrill the holes somehow. CV carbs are really sensitive to their plenums.
