Have you ever been out on your bike, in your own recreational time, and witnessed such dangerous, and blatant disregard for the road rules that you have had to take action? ie, write a ticket?
Or, as some friends of mine have sugested, when the uniform comes off at the end of the day, you would probably turn a blind eye to that sort of thing on the road because, you're not working.
Some friends and I were discussing this today and thought I might ask. Are there a few biker cops here?

Was a bike cop a long time ago, in the days of CB 650's XJ 650's and R80's but not any longer.
Police have policy that unless you are required to take action to protect life and/or property, as per our sworn oath, then you should make a complaint as per any 'normal' member of public.

Yup, a few have had a knock on the door for doing stuff.
And I'm talking about nearly-almost-had/caused a serious crash, not just failing to indicate.
I don't want to share the roads with any more idiots than I have to.

Sticking your oar in when off duty can go seriously pear-shaped.
As the others effectively said; you make a complaint as and when appropriate and call for on duty staff if the situation requires immediate response.
