Hi all

My name is Antonio, I am Italian. I live in Auckland. I love bikes and I love riding them in NZ.
I have 3 Honda CBR (250, 600-Rossi Replica-, 1000 R5) and a KTM520EXC. I tend to avoid driving cars. As you can see I was a happy Honda fan until I bought my new CBR1000R5 (for more info see my rant in my previous post).
I think I will start to consider an Italian bike as my next one (I will try to get rid of all my Honda). I know...they are too expensive and full of issues, but after my experience with Honda I am prepared to take the risk. I had some Italian bikes in the past but I wanted something a little more 'evil'. But I've found myself with something more crap. Anyway, what it is really crap is how Honda (here in Auckland) treats his customers.
Perhaps I was just really unlucky.
That's all for now.

See you around
Ciao
Antonio

AntonioWelcome again Antonio. How long have you been in NZ?

I do sympathise with your bad experience over the CBR1000, but honestly I think you just got a lemon and that in general Hondas are good bikes!

Why don't you bring your 600 on a KiwiBiker ride we're having this Saturday to help you 'temporarily' forget about your troubles. Read about it here (http://www.kiwibiker.co.nz/forums/showthread.php?t=11626).

Hi ams67 - welcome to the KB gargre.

If you buy a Ducati, and you need any help with accessories, PM me. I may live in Wgtn, but I'd be able to give you heaps of advice about stuff like $699.95 Oakley titanimum Ducati-laser-etched-lens sunnies. Not to mention carbon fibre goodies.......(just fitted c/f huggers to both my babies - do they look good or what??!!)

Seriously though, hope you find the right steed soon.

What Ducatis have you already had?

Welcome aboard!

I Know someone who had a 04 CBR1000, the rear shock broke when he was riding it, it was still under warranty but honda would not touch it, the guys insurance company have taken them to court (honda).

Thats two lemon hondas I have heard of now!!

Hey, firstly sorry to hijack this thread, but what model is the Rossi Rep one? I'd be real keen to track down a CBR600 once I move up in the world but I don't really like the styling of the normal Fs and the RRs are too new (and therefore under warrantee and also expensive). Is it some other type of F and are there quite a few out there? And is that one of the bikes that you're having probs with ams67? Sorry - that's a million and one Qs, but welcome mate!!!!! Good to have you along.

Well i got the Cbr 600 f41 2001 model - (If you were asking me the question :) )

I actually like the new model - got a mean look in the front and an amazing "ass" with the exhaust coming out of the back seat...

Ooh - so they made that style 2001 and 2002 - this is sounding better!!! Yeah - the new one's pretty nice eh even if it looks slightly on the under-nourished side (still beeeeautiful though). Do you know what type of price the 2001 and 2002 ones are going for? There's not that many, aside from the usual 600Fs, out there eh?

EDIT: hey Vros - the bit a the top of your post says you have a 2002 one though?!

Yeah its actually a 2002 model but the bike was registered in 2001...(thats what the previous owner told meh...) guess it was like like late 2001 though..

about the price.. im not sure how much plain ones go for... havent seen any for sale. I got mine for enough to set me back a few years :D
