Street Races in the Winter months?

So are there any street races in NZ during the winter months? Specifically the last week of July first week of August? I'd love to check one out! Our government has too many Nancy boys to allow such a thing. I think it is awesome you guys have street racing!

...just stop off in the Cook Islands on the way over for a few days, it,ll feel like winter here any time you arrive. ...
Nelson Street Race is run on 2nd January, Methven Street race is April 3rd, Greymouth Street Race , late October, Wyndham Street race, late November, thats the South Island ,anyway..North Island Street Races pretty much summer events...
