Joe, That long black piece of road up here, its only a motorway sometimes!
Its also used as a carpark, so it depends at what point of shift between motorway and carpark you get to it at, as to the speed.
Often it is in a state of "walkway" This is because no one can decide if they want to motor or park.
My 950 must have a special electronic chip, it has the ability to make carpark or walkway back into motorway just for its self! the chip does need some tuning, i find the cars going between carpark lanes are sometimes not repelled by this chip, i am working on tuning it with my left thumb and a button with airhorns connected to it and with finger and arm gestures. I will tune the chip eventually!

Hey Joe, My previous pair of shoes were very similar to those. Unfortunately they didn't quite have the support to stop 200 plus kg's of Austrian sledgehammer from doing serious damage to my lower tibia and fibula. Allthough not as comfortable I now have a nice expensive pair of Tech 10 Alpinestars with the latest in ankle protection technology which I hope never to need!!

Oh dont say that.. i was really pleased till now, will i guess ill have to try and stop crashing...
crash count is at 3
1 loss balance at gas station..........fuk what a dumb arse i was...
2 capital coast, lake of momentum in the wrong place,,,,and i had to fall off in front of a orange 9fiddy.....DOH
3 to much power at wrong time on slippy clay, fishers track.....bugger..
so im getting some training boxes made, to help hold up the bike..
hows your bike coming along..

Sorry...wasn't tryin to give ya the "buyers blues"!
My crash count makes yours look pretty good so no need to worry.....you haven't even run wide on corner landing in a ditch whislt back flipping over the bars and landing upside down on grassy null some 3-4 meters from your still upright motorcycle...lucky only prided was injured in that one...which took some time to heal!!
690 looking sweet....almost done but waiting on new speedo to arrive (KTM are recalerberationg to match mileage on the old one....except they are about 2k out now due to thier slowness and my eagerness to get out and about).

Agreed on that one, I may have to put the 950 up for sale soon the way things are looking at work. No one has bought the PD and at least one of them might HAVE to go soon.

out and about today, brent wanted to ride the makairo track so off we went....
http://lh4.ggpht.com/_r4RTcX8Awjo/TN9CPhzqn5I/AAAAAAAAImA/BWtnpMiq3kU/s912/IMG_0291.JPG
the mornings ride led us in to rain on the main road.. that soon stopped.. a quick top up with gas and we headed in to the start of the track....
after remembering passed events on this track, people down the banks and bike of the side of the track....i was a tad concerned..
http://lh3.ggpht.com/_r4RTcX8Awjo/TN9CRMIvb2I/AAAAAAAAImE/1faPyt2TZGQ/s912/IMG_0292.JPG
ground conditions where wet and we both had rear road tires on...............
so off we went....over the down hill bridge........
http://lh3.ggpht.com/_r4RTcX8Awjo/TN9CT9a0EEI/AAAAAAAAImM/cjJZElCFymM/s912/IMG_0294.JPG
slippery going, couple slips on the track..
http://lh5.ggpht.com/_r4RTcX8Awjo/TN9Cl192AqI/AAAAAAAAImg/FjA0WMn9Hhg/s912/IMG_0299.JPG
the higher we got up the track the more fog we encountered
http://lh6.ggpht.com/_r4RTcX8Awjo/TN9Ckk_EXkI/AAAAAAAAImc/kZY_a-kIShY/s912/IMG_0298.JPG
nearly at the top..
http://lh3.ggpht.com/_r4RTcX8Awjo/TN9CmiPpfXI/AAAAAAAAImk/jUi93ikcVCQ/s912/IMG_0300.JPG
on the way down the other side..
http://lh3.ggpht.com/_r4RTcX8Awjo/TN9CnmAlevI/AAAAAAAAImo/p40Yrsc-7Mw/s912/IMG_0301.JPG
its just a neat ride up in the bush,,the trees have grown back over the track makes that much better...
http://lh4.ggpht.com/_r4RTcX8Awjo/TN9CohJiKlI/AAAAAAAAImw/2G_-RXnA5M0/s912/IMG_0303.JPG
down with minimal dramas, bit of slipping and sliding..

6x6 Artic Haulers are cool. I used to drive a Volvo A20 & A25 for the old man.
When you've got all 4 diff locks in & 6x 65" tyres all spinning & you're still not moving, you know you're stuck good

yea its just not worth the risk to get caught. One trip got pulled up in taupo on a run north,, mod squad, he went through my book page by page....trying to get me on sum slip up...........sorry pal..
the books are different now days 2 columns instead of three.....you have to write start place and time + hubo , every stop, place and time + hubo even if its for a flat tire.. and finish place time + hubo...
its up to a instant $500 fine for not showing a log book,or entering false details.
on the old book was one 30min stop after 5.5hrs drive per 11hrs driving.
now you can have two 30min stops per 5.5hrs driving and you end up with 2 hrs left after last break..= 13hrs drive / load /work time.
but im sure you knew that aye mate
takes far to long to sit you class 4/5 heavy think its up to 2yrs+
i sat my 4/5 in a artic in one afternoon,,, few years ago now..
