Huntly club run their club days on the first weekend of every month, making it this weekend! They usually run their club day at the Slater Lakeside MX park but this weekend it's on the club presidents farm out the back of Te Kauwhata.

I went to this round last year and it was an awesome track! It is natural terrain and flows really well. Even if the rain doesn't come it'll still be a good ride, the track will be good fun. They [Huntly MCC] are MNZ affiliated so you'll need your racing license. Entry gets you 3 lap scored races and a free for all practice at the end if they have time. The club run a tight schedule and all is normally finished up by 3pm, latest. The atmosphere is low key and enjoyment is paramount. Allow an hour and a half from the Auckland CBD. Sign on finishes around 9.30am ish..

Classes are based on ability, age and bike capacity, just like most clubs.

Hopefully see some of you down there, it'll be a good ride regardless.

Pending on diagnosis on my engine I should be able to make the rounds from the end of May on, have missed out on a lot of riding over the last couple of months due to Uni / Bike problems.

It's great that Huntly MCC incorporates ATV's in these club MX days, gives us a bit more racing over the winter when it all goes a bit quiet MX wise.

See you there Van!

Yeah, the Huntly club try to cater for everyone and they sure do a pretty good job! It's nice and low key as well, making it more enjoyable.

I called the info line this afternoon and earlier this evening and it's still on, the rain will be softening it up and reducing dust! Give them a call in the morning on 08 322 5144 just to double check but it's supposed to clear this evening and be fine tomorrow.

Can't wait.

Yep gotta agree with Van tis a great track to ride. First time out was they're last track day. Big long fast corners and heaps of straights to grip that throttle and ring it out.
