Bugger me. I hope your bike is covered by insurance, then again, weather it is or not is not that important as you were lucky to walk (limp) away moderately uninjured.. As you say thank fark for wearing the right kit ;)
You appear to have come close to going under the belly of a car and even at low speed this would not be a good thing.
Pleased you were not one of those fatal statistics.

A similar thing happened to me two weeks ago.
I never realised how lucky I was to walk away in one piece and I'm sure you're thinking the same thing.
Word of advice, keep some panadol/nurofen handy for the next day ... you're gonna feel like shit and if you don't, you're luckier than I was!

From my recent experience,
GSXR + diesel patch + all the gear + oncoming 4WD = sad looking GSXR + walking rider + large insurance claim
Glad you are OK.

Pleased to hear you are O.K Cracker (considering!!).
Not a lot you can do when you hit a patch of road like that at the wrong time. Hope you can rest up well and mend all your bangs and bruises as quickly as possible. Thank goodness for protection huh?
Take it easy bud - well done for walking away.

Word of advice, keep some panadol/nurofen handy for the next day ..Lucky for Cracker, I had both of those with me. So he had 400mg Nurofen & 1g Panadol with the cuppa and biccie the Farmer's Wife gave him. Saw Cracker go down in my mirrors. He was a lucky boy. Although the slippery conditions contributed to him going down, it also saved him by letting his body slide.
The tar on that corner had melted in Summer. With the rain on it, that part of the corner was slicker than a freshly saved pussy:blink:

Good luck with the recovery.

Hey dude, good to hear you're all in one piece. Real bummer about the bike, my condolences. That's a shit piece of road, I'd be sending those photos and and a few words about what happened to the council. They probably won't do anything because they don't have any money left to build roads after they blew it all on the rugby stadium, but hey, if they do listen you might save somebody else from going down on that corner.
