So i come up to the lights at the corner of Boston rd and Mt Eden rd, ( Mt Eden motorcycles are on the corner) The lights are green but the car sitting in front of me doesnt move....on closer inspection I can see the women in the drivers seat yaking on her mobile phone , completly oblivious to the fact the lights ae green.

So I toot..........

No response......

So I toot again....

Still no response, she a bit busy yak yak yaking on the phone.....

So I manouver the bike up to the drivers window....Its wound down by the way, I stay just far enough back that she doesnt see me coming.

The light is still green!

I am only just inside the white line, so still in my lane, I reach in and grab the phone of her.......fuck it was funny.......she freaked out!

THen I stick the phone in my pocket.......and ride down Mt Eden Rd.

I am waiting for a phone call from the cops, in the meant time does anyone want a nokia phone, dont think there is must credit left though, just been chatting my mate in the UK!

hahahaha, thats a little bit awesome, you should probably text someone in her phone book and offer to give it back as she most likely got your plate number as you rode off. Hopefully she has learnt her lesson!

I would expect a visit from the local constabulary if I were you...I daresay they will have no sense of humour about the incident either...

she definitely deserved it. But you dont want a criminal record or something. Call her, get her address and post it back...

If you dont return it, it really is theft...

Now that is just the most horrendously.......................

FARKING AWESOME THING TO DO!!!

Well done you!! She wont ring the cops, she would be too farking scared. If the phone is worth a bit of dosh maybe....but the likelihood of her getting a fine for talking on her phone in the first instance would be pretty high, higher than the value of the phone too probably....and I dare say that the cops WOULD actually find what raftn did as farking hilarious

To ease everyones mind, The following day I took the phone to the local cop shop, and gave it to the nice policeman. I said to him this phone is stolen, "how do you know that he asked?" ummmmmmmmm ..... cause I stole it! I told him the full story, he thought it was the funniest thing he had heard in a long time.

So anyway they still have the phone , I dont know what happened, but I have heard nothing, although I got a speeding ticket in the car last week , I wonder if it is related in some way?

Cool story, but if I had done something like this, I wouldn't make a post about it bragging on an internet forum with specific details about where it happened, what bike I ride, and photos of my bike too.

Sod it, cool story. Not sure I would have done that, but if you came into my Popo station and reported it I would be chasing the woman and handing you a Police 5 badge.

You should've turned it in to the cops and told them where it came from.

Presumably the plod will say to the woman "here's your mobile phone... and here is your fine for using it while in charge of a vehicle".

Helps the quota a little bit...

Presumably the plod will say to the woman "here's your mobile phone... and here is your fine for using it while in charge of a vehicle".

Or at least, that could be their suggestion if she wanted to press charges for the "stealing".
