As the title suggests I want to get rid of the ignition barrel and have a simple switch in place on my race bike (GSX-R600 K7). I still want to retain the kill switch though.
Can any of you highly knowledgable folk out there tell be exactly how to do this please.
Your help is appreciated:D

Pm OZZY on here dude, am sure he will know

I do NOT think it can be done to our model suzuki;s as the ECU comes coded with a chip in the Key

It can be done........ even with chipped keys........ A local auto sparky should be able to suss it.
The older ones just had a 100ohm/12v/5w resistor in the barrel......... just needed to replace that in the relevent circuit (earth from memory)
Then just use the kill switch as an on/off.
Still best to talk to a an auto sparky!

I did it on mine, can't remember now but if you have a NZ new one with immobiliser it is fractionally more difficult but still pretty straight forward. Use google and gixxer.com to find instructions, there are plenty out there.
