Just looking, any differences, apart from colours? Can't see any but thought I'd ask.

Some DRs (and its a very small number relative to total production) had issues with third gear failing. Think it was the later ones, do a search on advrider.com

Getting in first ain't cheating :shifty:
Thanks for the replies. My son grabbed one this afternoon. It was a 2004 model. Same price as I paid for my 2007, but heaps more flashy bits. He got bitten by the bug.

They went to the metal base gasket mid-2003 no worries there.
98-99 are iffy with the solid starter idler gear.
3rd gear?
I think all years are vulnerable really.
It's a badly designed gear and they did change the part number several times over the years and the latest was in 2008 and I don't think any 08's have made the list yet.
The side dogs on the gear match up with the lands in the teeth creating a weak spot. On the later ones the dogs are slightly offset in relation to the lands.
