Never used one.
But I had a 49mm 'semi-fisheye' from kodak which was great. Allowed you to get a wide depth of field and ... yeah very rcomended for a tank cam!
You'll also find that you can focus much closer than before with the semi fisheye one.
EDIT : I've used the close up ones before, they're also pretty good.
Go for it, but realise they're only an adapter for the lens you have. What are you wanting to do with it?
For lots of macro work, go buy bellows or rings.

taa - other way atchally. looking at the zoom doubler - mainly to get in tighter on motorcycle action shots and better dof.
You are right - emulation is emulation, but i chose the equipment i have for it's good spec and very compact nature - suitable for transport on a motorcycle.
Quite happy with the macro that is standard on the camera.
Use it occasionally for this type of thing - and what i turn it in to.

Oh nice :-)
You'll loose a lot of light and have a bit of distortion at the edges with some of the lens doublers .. the ones between lens and body are better than the filter style ones if you can get them, but again you loose more light for better quality.
