Hi all,
Well after seeing Pyrocams footage with his camera, I figure it would be a damn good thing to try myself. Only thing is I don't want to limit myself to just bike footage, as I would like to do car stuff and other stoopid things as well. One of the more interesting mounting systems I've found is the Stickypod ( http://www.stickypod.com/products.htm ).
Has anyone ever tried this mounting system? Good, bad, indifferent?
Ta.

A mate a work was telling me about these, some of the drift guys that he knows use them on their drift cars. Personally, I wouldn't trust my nice new camera on a suction cup mount, imagine what would happen if it un-suctioned.
I'm getting my old man to make me a couple of mounts, one that will screw into the tank filler surround and another that will attach to the subframe and hang out the side of the fairing.

What's your fuel filler like? Swanman and I made a mount to fit both our bikes (RIP's R1..) and attaches to 3 of the bolts that screw into the fuel lid. Welcome to show you sometime if you want. Also show you the footage we've taken.
I don't have anywhere to upload stuff really, but I've got some footage of various stuff. One thing I don't mind putting up is a few laps of Taupo on the tank cam..

I have thought about something
Those rubber cups?
they should cut out a lot of vibration.
Just a thought.

I looked at a suction type mounting for my camera but just couldn't trust it enough, instead i brought a colour bullet camera, that records onto my video camera which sits tucked away in the tail unit, the bullet camera dosen't get in the way of my riding, unlike a tank mounted jobbie and the bullet cam is pretty tough and can be put anywhere, even helmet mounted on a bike. reckon its the way to go....
