Honda RVF400R for sale.

Hey guys, I have an RVF 400 I am looking at selling in november so thought I would see if there was any interest.

I am getting my replacement bike on the 20th Novermber so the RVF will be available from then. This ad is to see if anyone out there is interested, but the bike is not available just yet.

RVF400R:

- Great condition (very tidy cosmetically)
- New fork seal/oil
- New plugs ($60 each)
- Hew headrace bearings
- New fuel tap ($600)
- Near new brake rotors
- Braided lines
- Good condition Michellin Power Race tyres (sticky!)
- Just been tuned and is running great.
- Come with spare windscreen (clear), extra mirrors, brake lines etc.

This bike is awesome and corners like you would not believe.

Just after offers at this stage, but these are rare and the build quality is amazing so I'm sure most people would be aware of the value of these bikes.

No pictures due to the fact im away from home for the next 1-2 weeks, but the bike is in standard trim with only the usual minor defects - a couple of small scratches.

I could be interested: I would need pictures, and an idea of price. Also to gauge the condition of the consumables:

rear wheel bearings, chain, sprockets, filters and plugs and pads and headstock bearings and all that malarkey.

I would pay decent money for the right one, but it would have to be the right one.

For that type of run down I would suggest getting it checked out by a bike shop. On that note, I had Haldanes do that no more than 500km ago. That was when all the work was done, no further issues were voiced.

I am currently in Christchurch, away from the bike, and providing pictures was not possible. 'Only the usual defects' in the context of body condition I mean that there are minor scratches usual with a mid '90s sports bike. Part of the exhaust (where it goes into 1) is scratched. But the fairings are defintely not smashed up like lots of VFR/RVFs. the front fairing is spotless. Mirrors, bar ends etc all in good condition. Grips are new. Wheels are great.

As in the ad, plugs are brand new, as are the headrace bearings. As for the quicker wearing items such as chain and sprockets, pads etc, I will have to inspect more closely and post back here.

However, you are quite right to question these things (I always do), and getting it checked out would answer your questions. But I have taken great care of the bike and it has not lacked in correct attention. All reciepts can be provided if necessary.

Price: I havn't decided yet. These don't come up much and when they have they seem to go for approx. $6000. I have had expressions of interest of this price. Basically if someone offers me a good price and is willing to wait until the 20th then I won't put it on trademe (I'd rather sell it to someone on here anyway).

I hope that answers a few questions. Sorry for the long post but with no pictures the most I can do is describe it the best I can. I will get pics asap and put them up for you.
