Do you lot know about Skype (http://www.skype.com) ?

Bascially the service offers free telephone calls over the tinternet. I use it daily to talk with people all over NZ and around the world for free. Perfick for talking to the relatives back in the UK.

It's similar to MSN voice chat but much better quality. Saves me hundreds of bucks a month in telephone calls.

You run it on your PC and talk to other people via their PC, ideally using a headset, but you can use it with desk top speakers and a microphone. Skype telephones are soon to become widely available too.

You can phone land lines and mobile phones, but you need to pay a small amount of cash for this service.

Highly recommended. Up yours Telecom :niceone:

they are free when its a pc to pc call but costs (cheaper tho) when calling a landline. Ask jazbug how much to costs to ring the uk to get some idea. I know that when Ive received calls on the pc it is really clear.....but when its to a cell phone it must have to "bounce" alot cause the delay is huge...........
good progy tho.....

We hooked it up a little while ago. Haven't used it much but it seems a pretty good tool.

I used it to at the start of the year to talk to my friend in South Africa via pc to pc.
It's probably one of the programs that have the clearest sound that I've used. I tried netmeeting,msn..etc and they weren't as good.
Skype gets my thumbs up!
