hi guys. just got kdx 200 and downloaded a manual.
it says there are 2 tipes of sparkplugs to use in kdx 200.
b9es for canadian model and br9es for uk model........i assume difference is in resistor.
my spark is not really bright :(
have you seen canadian models in nz? thanx a lot

does not make a difference, we normally sell br9es's but you can run the other b9es as well

On the subject of kdx's.My 06 200 has a 155mj and 45 pj with needle in middle position. No airbox lid, boyesen rad valve, gnarly rev pipe. Main jet plug chop very light tan but most of my riding is more technical lower rpm and the plug is always sooty(never fouled a plug).Have already gone from 162 and 48 that the bike came with and it pulls much better especially top end. My question is should I go lower on the pj lower the needle or leave things be? Havn't been riding very long to have a feel for lean/rich.Bike starts easily, not too smokey, little spooge. 40:1 synthetic.
Thanks.

sounds like it is running ok, we normally run 42 pilots which may help, although the rad valve changed stuff,

When I first starting riding I thought the jetting was all out on my bike, I later worked out after much tinkering I was riding the thing to slow:facepalm:

Thats my problem then. Didn't realise you had ride fast to get the jetting spot on. Apparatly the faster riders were doing sub 30minute loops at yesterdays WMCC 2man. On todays trail ride I could only manage 2 37's and a 38 so yes I am slow.
