Does anyone have a suggestion as to which mechanic to use when servicing a bike? Someone who is honest and does not rip you off as well as advises you?

None that I have been able to find using the search. Is there a sticky anywhere I could locate?

If there was a register that was open only to honest mechanics you'd find us there.
There isn't, so you will have to work a bit harder.

Pretty fucken hard that search was. For the record I typed in mechanic. I would'nt even dream of getting carried away and typing in 'Auckland mechanic'.
Actually, fuck it, this is gonna get far too complicated.

There surely must be a decent mechanic someone can recommend.

Seven threads up from the bottom. First one I saw I have'nt even bothered looking properly. With the super quick response you obviously did'nt either. Unless you are that awesome you can not only reply to me but actually properly check out a link sent to you all within a minute........

Try the small independent workshops.
Far too many people are far too easily seduced by flashy dealership signs.

Now, if only there was someone who was mobile, covering the greater Auckland region, does great work and has good pricing. Maybe even advertise on here. I'm sure it would be a hit and have an entire thread raving about it.

I am surprised with the number of bikers on this forum, that no one can recommend a good mechanic...

Well you must know both quite well then seeing that you can draw correlations. Guess experience does speak more. Thanks for the help though.

Some people are just too hard to help.
When people give you links it pays to actually have a good look before you start responding. You responded to my post within a minute of me posting it, how in the fuck you could have properly looked through the threads is beyond me, then I even named the most popular Auckland mechanic (that I know of), and you still claimed that no-one could recommend anyone......
