Just got the bike back from Cycletreads this evening. They fitted a new chain as well as new front and back sprockets. The front brake was also repaired. All this for such a reasonable price. :D
They said they put a larger sprocket on the rear, one tooth bigger and what a difference it seems to be making. I can't really notice a decrease in acceleration, but I can certainly feel its effects at higher speeds. At 100kph on the flat in 6th the bike is just below 8,000 revs, and it redlines at 12.5k. Compared to the older sprockets the bike would be hitting about 9,000 - 9,500 from memory at that speed in 6th.
All I need now is a long straight road where there is no chance of getting snapped to see at what speed it will top out. On the original sprockets it made it to and indicated 153kph redlining in 6th.

Super Dave... ? a larger sprocket on the rear would increase your revs, they have either dropped a tooth on the rear or gained a tooth at the front. :niceone:
Sorry for correcting dude

THEY MUST HAVE PUT A SMALLER SPROCKET ON THE REAR, BUT ANY WAY ITS HARD TO GO PAST TREADS FOR GOOD SERVICE AND PRICES, ITS ONE OF THE ONLY SHOPS WITH REAL RIDERS WORKING THERE

Let me know when you find that road will you?
Leave Rotorua and head for the Kaingaroa Forest turning off toward Mangakino, first straight up this road (10k long & dead straight you can see both ends) do it there if you want.
But half way down that straight turn right onto dirt road (5k long straight) at the end you will find a dead straight road (15k long) and no cops or anything else for miles. :devil2:
This road leads to Reparoa (take the first right) and onto the track at Taupo.

I saw your bike there today Dave. Infact, I saw 2 FXR150's there, same colour! I was down there to get a visor.
Keep us updated once you have tested it out :D
