It'll be interesting to see what countries would actually run this event...

While it would be great to see it only puts 'pressure' on riders and is why the TT has been a standalone event so the doomsdayers don't go on about people extending themselves for the whole series etc.
Then again, a round at the Cemetery Circuit would be a bit of entertainment...

How about an extended cliffhanger....start at Kaitoke - over the Takas, turn right at Featherston, around West of Lake, then to Martinborough, back roads over cliffhanger to Castlepoint ? :devil2::first:

NZ could have a RR series, we got enough street circut events for it ie Paeroa, Wangas, Nelson, Greymouth, Cliff Hanger. Get the Gisborne round started up again and end with a Tourist Trophy event on a 30k loop somewhere in the country side, it'd be choooice! :niceone:

tidy up summit road in christchurch....TT track!

only problem is cutting off the lyttelton port.

imagine the spectacle, blasting through govenors bay, the pub packed out, the houses all packed out with people looking down on that windy wee bit of road, and that fucking massive dip just after the apex of that corner...

imagine the helicopter chasing the bike down evans pass.

imagine the wheatsheaf intersection, big grand stands sold out, bikes incoming down the straights that surround it, howling away.

Sorry guys but NZ will NEVER cut it for this DREAM of there's!

We do not have big enough crowd attendence to even get close to paying for the bikes to get here for international teams, and our tourist market is too small to be of aid to the Isle of Man tourist board looking to MAKE MONEY from the teams.

Dreams are free though I guess

Dreams are free though I guess

...and I intend to spend every cent

Imagine going under the gondola, and castle rock headpin with the grand stand packed..

where would we put the start finish line? I'm thinking lyttelton, wide street, parking could be down on the port and down on the rugby fields, new cafes and shops could get in behind it as part of the rebuild.

I put this whole idea to a member of the Isl of Man tourist board 10 years ago now, I suggested a trial run involving NZ and Malaysia, they said " It is NOT in our interests and will never happen due to costings" I even offered to PAY for a 40ft container return from Ireland to help get the ball rolling, now I read this shit.

The reason I paid for GUY MARTIN to come out and race here was for him to inspect our road courses and try and encourage others out here.
