View Full Version : Ken Ring's predicted earthquake for 20 March?

After all there was a pretty decent after shock that day... It was unfortuately later than the evening news so it didnt count.
Yeah but mate the fact is that we seem to have pretty decent aftershocks every other day - and being less than a 5 it was pretty average - there's been about 250 shakes between M4 and M5 over the last 7 months. I mean, we had a M4.1 just 15 minutes ago.
The guy is full of shit.

To be sure there was no colour or aroma therapy and no osteopathy - that I was aware of, but their methods were certainly not those your man of science will prescribe.
Also to be sure, I'm not saying the moon man is right. I am saying that you should in general keep an open mind, if you don't you are as bad as him.
The difference is that you saw results without knowing how it happened ... he said things would happen but without a result.

his theories are not correct. And his lies are not science. Do you even know what "science" is? Do you understand even a little bit of how the scientific method works? Do you know how far the criminal Ring is from even the fringes of generally accepted scientific theory?
Let me posit something for you: you have cancer. With proper medical treatment, it is curable, and you will live the rest of what passes for your normal life. Untreated by those methods, you will die.
Do do you spin crystals, consult homeopaths, osteopaths, aroma therapists, or do you go to the doctor.
What do you do?
Actually the last thing I would do would be go to the doctor. They are bloody useless with cancer and almost all other degenerative deseases. If I broke my leg or fell of my bike or needed my nose or ears drilled out, I would go to my doctor.
I look after myself with diet, herbal medicine, regular cleanses, some exercise, and use healing modalities that you scoff at(like picking/consuming weeds from the garden like dandelion). I've never considered crystals because I'm not wacky but sensible.
Next thing you'll be saying is astrology is all bunk:woohoo: which planet are you guys on??

Astrology is bunk...
I confidently predict there will be Earthquakes around the world. And floods and Tornado's and Volcanic eruptions. I predict Chch will have more Earthquakes...
Of course I could be wrong, so please don't panic...

Cyclone Bola 7/3/88
Full Moon 3/3/88
Perigee 8/3/88
Perigee then was very close at approx 357,000km from earth, like the last 3 we just had....:corn:

Does that make everything he says wrong?
Does that mean there is no element of truth or accuracy in his theories?
Perhaps some of what he says is pertinent and could/should be explored and incorporated into existing theories - which incidentally despite being "science" and attracting a lot more money seem to me to be no better than his.
I'm not so sure who's perpetrating the bigger hoax here, moon man or geologists.

After all, who buys his books, who visits his website? Who are his beliebers?
Probably the same type of people who take notice of Bill Hohepa's Maori fishing calendar.
A similar approach to compiling the "best days" for getting a catch. Or perhaps he is considered a "wacko" as well?

Anyone can predict anything they like ... validity only becomes a fact when someone decides to listen to it!
All of the power and responsibility therefore rests in the mind of the believer or the non believer!
Ken Ring is innocent of any provocation, his believers or non believers are completely in control of that!
Chicken little said the sky is falling ... believe it or not ... it's the listener's choice! :shifty:

The current weather system has been described as "worse than Bola".
Perigee - April 17. Not close enough to today to think that the current weather is caused by the perigee. Oh, hang on, what about the full moon thing?
Full moon AND perigee was March 19 - prompting the earthquake warning BUT there wasn't a cyclone.
Cyclones being caused by the perigee and Full Moon coinciding seems a little tenuous at best. Now, I'm not saying there is no link, but I can't see there being a cyclone every two weeks at perigee or every time perigee and the full moon coincide.
Is the current weather able to attributed to any lunar property?

Just like all those people who got told their bridgecorp investments would give them 15%.
Or that AAA ratings means they are 100% secure.
Suckers.

Perhaps the burst of solar activity (17 solar flares, 2 m-class) on the 22nd of April has something to do with it too.

Could be!! Were there solar flares in March 1988?

you are familiar with the logical proposition "Because A follows B, it does not follow that A caused B"? yes?
demonstrate the connection between your propositions, which is (as I understand it): the moon was close to the earth, thus causing cyclone ebola.

Thought the pattern or quakes/shocks followed the path of the international space station?
Apparently is the largest mass so close to earth!! The plans were for a station twice the size but the gravitational effects on our molten core would be to great for the earth's crust causing new fault lines.... I would suggest NASA have over stepped the mark with what they have up there by some considerable margin and are trying to keep it under raps....the reflector panels are probably the real reason for global warming to....and higher birthrates of left handed people...civil defence are going to buy enough anti gravity pumps to keep high tides out of low lying land, good ol' civic defence they are onto it!........ 'Science' has explored it and found where there is a tiny effect, it is not pertinent because the effect is so small.

Geologists are not perpetrating a hoax. They admit they cannot reliably predict earthquakes. The 'Moon Man' is not perpetrating a hoax either. He genuinely believes what he says. Unfortunately he wildly overestimates the power of his friend, the moon.

I saw his weather almanac in the Warehouse today. Given the shitty weather the North Island has had this week I though I'd see if Mr Ring had forecast it correctly.
Umm. No. Not what you'd call 'settled' weather.

Is ken Ring predicting what he believes in any worse than an actual scientist not releasing information they know to be true.?
I am sure there are a lot of scientists that are funded by corporations or governments sitting on all sorts of information that they will never tell us.
Is that science? No its bullshit and its a lot worse than what Mr. Ring does.
