I've been in the UK for the past year and I'm now eligible to sit my full licence. Only problem is I sold my bike to help fund the holiday. I will be buying a bigger bike as soon as I have the licence so just want to hire a 250 for a day to sit the test. Anyone know of anywhere that hires 250's in Wellington? I have done a search but can't find anything that is still relevant.

If you're just after a bike to do your learner or restricted test on, TSS Red Baron in Lower Hutt, ask for me (Jimmy) and give us a couple of days notice. 04 569 3989

If you're after a bike to sit your basic skills handling test, the bike school will supply it for ya.

I did find this one in my first search. Emailed Frank and they are no longer in business.

Sorry, just read your original post properly. Gimme a yell, we can hire you a new 250 for $95 for your full licence test.

Probably no longer in business because they were always shut (back in 5, lunch) when you popped round to try and pay them. There were about 4/5 people outside one time.

You can give Andrew or Lynne at Roadsafe a ring on 04 232 0110, Andrew will even take you on a mock test (he's an ex testing officer) beforehand.
