Its known that the Milky Way and Andromeda galaxy are on a collision course but that's still in the future. But right now astronomers have discovered that the Milky Way is devouring a much smaller galaxy, - Sagittarius Dwarf, and we are in the middle of it. :shit:
In fact the evidence is our solar system belongs to Sagittarius and not the Milky Way. This finally explains the odd angle the Milky Way runs across our sky.
