Following recent discussions with Perry Lett and Alan(Flea)Willacythe organisers of the Tri series, They have asked me to seek riders interested in participating in a proposed new class for the Tri series.

The class will consist of Pro lite 250 machines,Streetstock 150 machines as per the MNZ rulebook and Minilite 250 machines as per the Victoria motorcycle club supp regs and will be named "Ultra Lite 250",Races will be run on a first past the post basis,Not seperate results as the Vic club do.

This class will be run at the Manfeild and Hampton Downs rounds ONLY and will only take place if a minimum of entries are recieved by the close of entries,If anybody seriously interested can contact me at acrfibreglass@actrix.co.nz asap we will move forward with this class

Come on guy's, lets just leave it on topic for now eh. It would be awesome to see this class go ahead and be well supported. Get yourselves an eligible bike and enter, Billy has them for rent....
If it's well supported then they'll probably run it again next year - that's the time to enquire about getting buckets in there. I can imagine a bit of work has gone into just getting the eligible bikes out there, tbh.

Funny thing is,Ive got enough bikes in the shed to ensure 15 starters,Problem is,I can only ride 1 at a time.

Preference will be given to Streetstock/Prolite and Minilite machines.

I am interested, and will most definitely make it. Just wondering how close one can get on a prolite to a minilite on HD, the straight is fairly long so I'm curious as to whether you think it will be within the 115% threshold for qualifying?

Put a few old fat superbike riders on them and watch them get cleaned up by the young guns would be a good watch!

Would this class be included in the prize money fund....... or is it just a exhibition/invitational class.

Good question,

Will look into it later in the week,One point though,Either way it would influence the entry fee and we dont want to take it out of the reach of the young ones!

Would like to think I could be in on it. But as noticed this month - it all depends on how the budget's looking at the time.

You should be budgeting for it now if you want to do it :girlfight:
