If it wont idle at 2000 rpm unless the air screw is wound all the way in -then it is too lean. If your carb is the model with a plastic tube from the left hand side up to a brass fitting on the top of the venturi- remove the pipe and blck the top fitting- that makes a heap of difference.

:violin:so you'd think... so far screwed the pilot in all the way , cut off any air in pilot system . started up fine idled fine no bog off idle . so uped the pilot jet to a 17.5 turned mixture screw 2 turns out and it started sweet. gave a idle pilot system tune highest idle then reset idle speed. thought sweet sort in pilot system . bolted tank on fitted carb vent hoses seat on then thought sweet i'll start it easy as ........ :shit: wont started wtf , flooded it , changed plug, turned mixture in and finally started . ..... tonight stone cold start still shit reset mixture again , its better still not great , screw 1 3/4 out on 17.5 can almost start it without finding tdc.
