Hey all,I need some advice about my bike troubles.
My bucket will start and idle but it idles really high and dies after a minute or two,im not sure what the problem is. I have read that it can be the tuning or an air leak but im not sure how to go about finding the problem and then fixing it.
PLEASE HELP!! IM GOING MAD!!
Thanks

To check for an air leak, spray some engine start at the base of the cyl and at the inlet manifold. If it starts revving it's tits off...it's an air leak alright!

Hi Ryan.
So what have you done to it since it "seized"?
(and/or how much damage was done when it seized?)..
I assume its been re-bored and new piston?
if so then likely you've got a leak in the base/head gasket is everything done up tight to the right torque setting?
The "engine start" spray will allude to leaks; but what colour is the sparkplug and what oil mix are you running.
when you had the barrel off did you remove the reed block? it that all sealed back up again?
maybe a stupid question but is the choke off?
The other question is what changes have you made along the way since you had it? carb/exhaust?

It probably won't if it has old petrol in it.
