6packback at Kaukap.jpg (5.7 KB) Since i first purchased my k4 i have considered removing some of the stickers. But i'm not really sure which ones to remove or how.....once i'v done it there will be no turning back. I wondered if any one on the site has removed stickers and what they used to remove and also clean up the sticky residue

Use a hair dryer to warm them up and then lift and peel from the corners. Some warning labels are laminated and will take a couple of goes to get off, layer by layer. Clean off any remaining adhesive with kerosene.

I removed all the ones on the Goose as they were all in Kanji and made it look like a Jap import! I had heard that a hairdryer was great for removing them, but one day I carefully peeled the edge of one and found it lifted off with no trouble so I carried on and found both came off easily. Tiny bit of residue polished off later.
Make sure they aren't under a clear layer of paint though - I have seen this on some bikes and you have NO show of getting them off!

you can get a de-laminant from most paint shops, once you have peeled the stickers off (easy bit) use the de-laminant to take off the residue... This is a shitty job and will take you hours to do it no matter what you use.
Hair drier is good for the easy bit.
Dont put solvents on it, or use paint scrapers!, you'll wreak the paint.
The delaminant is expensive but you need it... $28 for a 500mls... made with oranges, it allows you to ball the sticky crap up so you can take it off, the new the bike the better it works... old stickers get baked on over time.
Good luck

I removed all my stickers about a month ago. I used the wifes hairdryer.
i found you have to work the hairdryer directly onto one corner first and then as you very slowly peel the sticker up, continue feeding the hot air onto the lifting area.
You should be fine, I don't think you can screw it up. The sticker gives well before the paintwork will damage.
If you get sticker residue left over, use some hot water with dishwash liquid and a soft clothe and just work it off.
Took me 15-20 minutes to remove four stickers. I was just taking my time.

Sorry mate, if I can't help myself, I very much doubt I'll help anyone else. Maybe if you turn the variable fuel supply controler a little more?

No need to remove them first. Just place the Honda stickers overtop Ha ha.
But seriously I know what you mean. Some manufacturers these days think we like riding around on a bill board. Next they will stick pizza 0800 numbers on our bikes.
