1st Visit; Old biker renewing interests

Returning to motorcycles after a long time away...
Restoring an old TS Suzuki and would like to converse with others of similar interests.
With a view to chasing required parts and getting advice on restoration techniques and methods and servicing/spare parts contacts.
Bike is a TS185L which makes it a 1974 I think.

I love TS/ER 185's - my first bike was one.

My 1st bike was a ts185 as well, it was a absolute minter! didn't stay like the for long! only problem apart from brake and clutch levers "falling off" was it use to eat plugs! if it didn't start 1st kick it needed a new plug!

You want bits??
Tony Jury Motorcycles in Pahiatua bought Suzuki NZ's entire stock of TS/TC 185 parts a few years ago, There's loads still there I saw them just a few weeks ago.

...got a ts90 'honcho', if anyone has a bent for it..had a ts fetish for a long time...recently grew up enough to realise that sometimes you just gotta get over things...gave the ts50 'gaucho' to a good home...the 'savage' went a while ago...never got anywhere near finding the 'apache', that i craved...my neighbour has a perfect 'duster'.., t-suzukis are where its at, um, where it was...you probably really had to be there to be besotted by them...s32-2 sitting in my shed thats for the off to...

Why on earth did they no just keep making this bike. I would buy one new if they were available. Closest thing is the bloody mud bug (too slow) and the Trojan (too plasticy).
I want a brand new 82 TS185..........

My first bike too was a 1975 TS 185 Suzuki and it gave many years of fun, mostly road riding. Some years later I was given a TF 185 (the farm version with high/low ratio) which I used offroad in Central Otago.

Eventually the bike languished forgotten in a corner so just a few weeks ago I gave it away - along with an old XL Honda 185. Shame, the OP could have had it. The guy who has the bikes has repaired them for his sons to use on the speedway so they aren't wasted. Gave me a lot of pleasure to see.
