Any advise for somebody whom has never done such a ride before?

It's a well orgainsed ride, so it's pretty much turn up and enjoy!

But for actual tips, then perhaps get there early, as you can find yourself parked a long way from the trail entrance if you're a late-comer.

Also, if it's your first decent off-road ride and you're inexperienced, maybe just spend the day going around the short and medium loops. There isn't anything madly difficult out there, but the long loop can put you way out in the middle of nowhere and if you find yourself struggling and losing energy quickly, it's a long slug back to the car/ute.

Oh and while it is up to the rider behind to make a pass safely, it's always good to keep an ear out for someone catching up to you, so you can pull over to one side and let them past. It is a family trail ride, but there are always some pretty fast riders out there, so I try to just keep out of their way.

I'll keep an eye out for you. I'll be looping the green track a bit with my daughter before heading off to do the senior loop.

Well that was awesome. Great advice and huge good fun. Me old XR worked a treat. I only did the green trail but did it many times.

I think I dehydrated myself even with 1.5 ltrs of water in.

Best thing was the little kid on the trail on an little bike. He may have been 4? Very cool Dad doing that with him.

Only problem I had all day apart from not enough water was I had real trouble getting out of the car at home. Im a bit sore.:facepalm:

Getting out of the car when you get home hurts most of us cause even thought you get fitter and better at riding you'll find you ride harder therefore it still hurts. Glad to see you had a good day i should have come along not like i got any painting on the boat done with all the little rain showers.:brick:

...and it'll hurt even more tomorrow....

But you will get used to it eventually, there's a point where ride fitness builds up and it doesn't hurt as much the next day.

How do you feel today?

Again the club put on a great ride, green track (novice) was a gem, the yellow (intermediate) a pleasure & the red (expert) had its many challenges as usual - I gotta get fitter for sure, fatigue was my downfall.

Im shattered.

But keen to do the bike up a bit more now. Want to clean the plastics up and get some stickers for it. Going to adjust the pilot jet to help the starting to.

Hows your arm?

Green track was great, really good learning trail. Some nice twisty bits and some open it up bits.

But I got a awesome headache on the way home, need to drink some electrolytes during the day I think.

Arms better thanks to Tiger Balm. Another few weeks & it'll be good.
Musta injured my eyes though, the lids were very heavy & I missed the game.
Drink lotsa water, the day before too. I may go through 4 litres on the day. Lay off the beers the night before.
Clean plastics & stickers!! :tugger: spend $ on tyres, chain, hand gaurds & brakes 1st, bling it up after the essentials.:)

LOL , thought that would wind you up.

Gunna get fork seals first, and have a look at the front brake/cable etc. And reset the headset etc. But as money allows.

Probably pop over tomorrow night and get it out of your way. Just have to work out borrowing the Van.

Had a look at handguards today, they aint cheap.

Bike is safe here. I've got some Acerbis guards here, we'll see if they fit. :first:

A really fun track, especially the tight section through the new trees. Heaps of work laying out something like that, so big ups to the organizers.

Here's some helmet cam footage
