Sick video, trials bikes are so much fun.

Tellycopters found here.

http://www.photohigher.co.nz/

They were using what is called a quad copter which is one of the easiest helis to fly. Mount your go pro to it and you away or have live streaming to a pair of glasses and point the cammera to where you need it to be.

Always said that Trials is the back bone of skills development for most off road motorcycling from MX, Enduro and X Country etc.

Thanks for the post:2thumbsup

That, and flat track. Both will also make you one of the best road racers around. Ask Casey Stoner or Stefan Merriman.

Agreed, been looking for a cheap trials bike for ages to build up my slow speed riding skills (I'm really good at going fast in a straight line, but crap at everythign else...), but it seems there's no such thing as a cheap trials bike.

Sadly supply & demand. Last time I was in the UK a shop was asking 1250 pounds for a knackered twin shock TY 175. I have seen much betterer deals here, just got to keep looking for those shed clearouts. I was out on Monday trying to empty clay bogs on the KDX, my mate on a 25 year old Fantic trials bike just wriggled his way through the bush at the side of the track<_<, barely a mud spatter on him.:Playnice:

Do you need a modern Trails bike or an older model say TLR200/250, TY mono , there's a few KT250 kawas on Trade-me for cheap money perfect for upping your skills etc.

Was thinking more modern and the only KT on TM is $4500...

My mate is riding a 25 year old air cooled fantic & it's abilities far exceed ours. Reliability & parts is the only issue with the bikes bearing in mind they have been thrown at rocks for years.

I like the look of things like the Yamaha Tricker for fun & skill development

Sorry about the muzak:no:

I know, I can't even pop a decent wheelie anymore. Oh to be able to heal quickly again.

You can play around on anything, but for trials proper, the better the better. It's getting harder to ride twinshock these days (or is for me anyway) and a Spanish bike is best,Fantic...or for Japanese a TY175. The TLR200 handles well, but is really let down by the gutless engine, the TLR250 is light years better, but also harder to find and expensive.

Twinshock has been extended to Aircooled now,and that brings in the early mono shock bikes, and so that means the mono TY250/350,and the 2 stroke Honda/Montesa etc....much better handling than a twinshock. The KT is the best of the early Japanese 250's,but still finds it's own way through a section.

I've got an old (late 90's or early 00's at a guess) Beta 250 2 stroke trials bike hanging around.
Reasonably rough but nothing a bit of tlc wouldn't deal to.
Don't use it so could definately be persuaded to let it go...

Swap you for a reasonably rough but goes like a bastard KDX 250.....

It's a bit much for me, I prefer slower more technical riding to warp factor fear.

What sort of cash would pursuade you? Would have to be cheap at the moment though, seems to be out-going after out-going at the moment...

Not really my thing sorry mate, warp factor fear is where it's at for me and my RMZ does that better than a KDX would : )

Just had to think about this in reply to a PM about it. I guess $3000 would have it sent to your door. But I'm willing to consider any offers..... I hadn't really realised how much interest there was in them and what they were worth

Fair enough, they are worth decent coin so I think you're asking what it's worth... but that still isn't my idea of cheap at the moment (looking for the non-existent sub$2k bike) and I could find one local that I could check out first for that money.

In all honesty, if you waved $2k in front of my face I would probably take it. But I totally get your point about the location thing, it can be a real pain trying to buy things from out of town.

You know where it is anyway, if you want any more details feel free to get in contact on here or 0274285176

After watching that vid a couple times I'm getting keener and keener to fire it up and go for a hoon!
