These bags are fantastic. I have an oxford first timer which is their bottom of the line range (this one will be much better quality) and have used it almost every time i ride the bike. Managed to carry 10kgs+ of textbooks everyday to class for over a year.

$70 is a bargain!

I could be interested in this... might be useful in February? I'm hoping to travel light, so between this and chucking stuff in Grant's car would it be enough? Or should I get some pannier bags instead (or aswell as)?

is this only for the tank or can it be straped to the tail seat?

Just check how high 300mm looks for you on your bike.
I dont think I used it at that height (just standard from memory)..because I also use packs on the back.

To give some idea of extended height. I had a dozen heinekens in one of these. Didn't help handling and there was enough space left in the bag for the beers to move around a bit. Forget looking at the dash. This was on an SV650. Standard size it was great.

BLOODY GREAT TANK BAGS!! :niceone:

Ive had one of these for nearly three years and use it everyday (rain hail or shine).
They also turn into a backpack! (unzip the base and the backpack straps are there all ready to go)...and they come with a shoulder strap for use as a satchel.
The pop up ability is damn useful!...and it holds HEAPS and never slips off the tank due to the strong magnets(but yeah...no view of dash)

The rain cover is very good as well, I have used mine in torrential down pours multiple times...not a drop inside!
I love the front pocket!, it has a rubber hole for earplugs to go through so you can have your phone or mps player stashed inside.
The clear plastic top is great for maps etc...I have NO scense of direction (I have a picture of my 16-month old son in mine(my speed & safety reminder!)...and emergency contact details...just in case the worst happens)

For $70...someone is getting a great bargain for xmas

I Highly recommend these bags!!

ps: Tip...cut those little plastic clips off the front!...they scratch the hell out of the tank & arn't really nessacery (unless you use it on the rear of the bike aswell

OK after that review, I definitely have to buy it! :D Even if I don't use it on the Taupo ride it will get plenty of use, will save me using a back pack when I have to take more stuff than my tiny tank bag can hold.

Any chance you could post it up to me? (at my expense of course). If not, will come down to collect & bring cash... otherwise let me know total inc postage and your account details and I'll transfer some moolah

Yeah all of that...:niceone:
The front clips are useful if your tank is plastic and you need grip pad...the strap in side the bag (see pic 3) clips in and goes around the steering head.
