Well the invasion has begun. Arrrived last night, currently in Greymouth on the pilgrimage to the KB do in Ettrick. Though we might check out Burt on the way.

We may not get furtherest travelled, but there must be a prize for the longest to get there. Only serious replies please. :baby:

It's been a hard two days travelling for us, we are not rally fit like some of the more spoiled members such as the Canterbury rubble.

Last year to nelson was nice on my ace, but I would really enjoy riding with others to this event.

And, what sort of $ should I have in folding in my pocket when I arrive to cover the site fee, pig , rally badge etc.

Yep. About 10 min ride out from Pleasent Point. There are some great wee roads in there.

Some great sweeping corners for sure. We do that loop every now and then. If you get into the area where Raincliff is, the roads are great. A bit more rough and ready and you have to watch out for tractors but awesome riding none the less. One of my favorite rides (once I get an hour out of Ashburton) is Geraldine - Fairlie - Pleasent Point and back to Geralding via the Seven Sisters Road. (Not every day you get to do Seven Sisters!):devil2:

Not so great weather on Friday so took the car to the rally (20 kms) along with the food etc.
Had a great feed and laugh at the Ettrick Hotel.... fortunately we knew in advance that the fire brigade were having their break up at the same time and got there just before them. Mista was almost last to get his meal
Went home Sat morning and picked up the bikes ready for the :ride: to Lawrence down to Tuapeka Ferry and across the Clutha on the punt.
Learnt that when parking the bike on a slight downhill I should leave it in gear
Back to Beaumont for lunch and then on to Ettrick for the rest of the night.

god damn that pig was GOOOOOOOOD!
I shoulda got a pic of all the bikers stealing it from the spit before it was cut up!That was bloody funny, the 3 chefs beautafully carving the frount half of the pig up while behind they the pack a hieners tore the rest to shreads...

cool to see a different part of the country on the Sat ride It never fails to amaze me the roads that far south, like the Catlins rally day ride this one was awesome, that road to the punt wow fark it looked magic you lot ahead on the ridge line, the meaning of riding it was.

The drinking seemed a tad toned down this year eh!:msn-wink:That it was aye, I think someone was missing there CB, as for me I was too fuking (thats right SD fooking) tied and stressed, next year I might make up for it.

That was a good rally in hic town, reflecting back after the tiredness is dissipating yeah, gotta say. Good one. Have not looked at pics... well I have, but I have really not done very well, very poor with my usual std of right in the face imaging...Never mind though, My bourbon that I stilled and soaked in bourbon barrel chunks, went down very well with a few, proved that I must have it all semi right, the sad side was that I had to revert to sickening rtd's from the pub, to sweet lolly water where you consume to much and just feel semi ill.

What an epic Friday night.... and a nana night on Sat yeah.

I had a call from Woodybee on Sunday morning at 4am on skype, though I was fucked and hit all the wrong buttons (pleased I was living in my tent alone, that would never have worked out) and lost the call. We was all spossed to have a skype conference with yo all... but times did not align that well with England did it.

I will en devour to check out some of the images and post a couple... the old webshots where I have up till now hosted images, now wants coin and that aint my way. So will find something betterer.

back to having a home brew rum.... mighty yummy yes it is. Cheer ya all.
