Hi all,
Anyone got an exup valve eliminator for the mighty Yamaha R1?
The only ones I can find are in the US of A and cost as much to ship as they do to buy!
Cheers

You could just remove the cables from the servo motor and leave it electrically connected so you dont get a fault light after removing the actual valve, assuming you are installing a full exhaust system

Yeah I could but would rather do it the 'tidy' way.

for a further run down.
Gee its like christmas, an exup eliminator for free, or at least very close. Can't get much simpler to build & encase in resin in a matchbox & it is indestructible.

nah man, he doesn't mean pipeware. The Ign has to 'see' the valve servo or it goes into limp mode. This cct fools it.

Yeah poos, its a little bit of electricery that plugs into the loom to convince the ECU everything is as it should be otherwise a fault code shows on the dash.
I see them in the states on ebay for $60+ American and about the same to ship to dear old NZ.
F5 Dave gave me a wring diagram to make one, meant sweet FA to me but a mate is giving it a go at making one, Cheers Dave

You have to be carefull just using resistors and a capacitor, if a component fails then you get 12v on the 5v ecu input. NOT GOOD!
